TPL_KUNENA_MESSAGE_CREATED Vario reset to zero alt

Hi Jeti,

Today we were flying and apparently the barometric pressure changed during the day (happens often) :woohoo:
I would like to be able to quickly reset this. I know it can be done by use of the jetibox emu but I would like to have it reset to zero for example during switch to start position. Other idea is to have a barometric sensor in the transmiter set as reference point and use it as delta between vario in the plane.

Regards

Robert

Hi, such things as configurable sensors via dedicated menu in TX (not Jetibox) are planned for the sensors in near future. However, we will make first receivers configurable as a starting point.

Hallo Robert,
That´s easy. Take an electronical on/off switsch (Sp06 from Jeti) between vario and receiver and you can easy reset the ground height
by switching!!!

LS,

Great to see inventive solutions but on F3X class gliders space is always a issue.
The possibility to reset the barometric sensor would be a great improvement.
A reference sensor add-on inside the DC-16 proposed by Robert is a master improvement.

Another idea is to leave the "Altitude" announcement and number behind the decimal.
For a pilot is for instance a voice announcement "135 meters (or feet)" more than enough information.

Hi,

doesn't a power cycle of the RX reset the altitude ?

Off course a power cycle helps just like the suggestion of putting a switch between receiver and vario sensor to reset the sensor. But during a contest the planes often stay on, hot standby. Just remembering a post about pairing different receivers and fly with the wrong one.
