How does this differ from using the PPM connection?

+1
if possible talk with the other vendors and make one universal protocol which every receiver and vbar speaks.
PPM is the normal analog servo signal, just sequential chained one after the other over one cable.
which is not optimal since your receiver has to generate an analog signal which the vbar has to decode.
while this works, it is somewhat slower than it could be and there ist more room for error sind you have to encode/decode the signal.
the better way is to give the digital signal from the receiver direct to the vbar without decoding.
the problem there is, any vbar and RC vendor does it's own thing, which means every vbar has to speek many protocolls

Hello,
For the Multicopters, there is a "standard". It's called Mavlink. Here is the protocol:
qgroundcontrol.org/mavlink/start
It would be great if Jeti can implement this.

Hi there!
Is there already a date when the protocol for vstabi will be implemented?
I'm waiting for this feature. As soon as it's implemented there's no reason left for me not to buy an DS-16.
With kind regards,
Thomas
