Hello at Jeti,
why did you make the UDI with only 12 chanels?

Your Transmitters can 16 chanels and at the moment I need 14 chanels.

Please update the UDI to 16 chanels.

Regards
Thomas

The UDI protocol is a fix protocol with 12 channels. No changes possible.

Channle 13-16 can be used direct at a rx. For example: 1x RSAt + 1xR9 with UDI at a powerbox or emcotec with channel 1-12 and 13-16 at the R9 direct.

This is no way to go.

All the 16 chanals go via bussystem 2 x RSat -> iGyro -> SRS Powerbox and all Servos are conected to the SRS Powerbox.
Why should I downgrade a save System and use Servos out of the Powerbox in a RX ?

I think it can be changed, maybe it is a political problem !

NIX IS FIX

Hi Thomas,

did you read Uwe´s info ? Not possible to change.

Here a further statemant !

...........................
Yes,

UDI specifies only 12 channels (it's universal form). It's not our
standard so we have to keep it that way.
...........................

That is the way it is , even if you want to have 16 UDI chanels.

wasn't UDI "invented" by mikado for the vstaby system?
since vstaby is used for helicopters, 12 channels should be plenty.
you would have to request more channels from mikado for udi, after that the other vendors would have to adapt it.

hasn't jeti already his ex-bus for more channels?

in my mind the RC vendors lack some comon standard for an bus system, curenntly every one has its own.

sum/ppm signal is the one all speak, but its 2014 who likes analog signals...

and since no vendor trusts another with the bus systems, i think we have to live with figuring out witch little box is combatible with wich vendor bus system bevore buing it, sadly =(

UDI seams to becoming the new comon ground for heli staby systems, even tough it has diverend names depending on the vendor of the staby system.
