If you really need all installed toggle-switches (→ functions) for your models, replace the desired toggle-switch by a double-pole version and you still have all functions available plus the additional choice of either the audio- or the PPM-out signal available on the headphone jack…...
I doubt that it is a pleasure to have the ppm-out Signal on your earphone ...
I would install an additional switch - but I use a sattelite reicerver for Sim. Wireless and all 16 Channels

Well, even if the output of PPM was possible to generate by software through the audio jack, it would be very uncomfortable. The audio chip has integrated automated switching betweeen speaker and headphones - if you plug out the jack, you will hear the ppm output from the speaker.
And the more serious issue is a very low resolution: The sound is sampled with frequency 44kHz, so you have only ca 44 positions for every channel.

Hello Raf, thanks for the clear statement as expected! Have you ever considered to modify the DC-16 with a software programmable universal PPM-out and -in signal connector installed on the outside of the transmitter case as a possible standard feature in the future?
