Lost motion on proportional sticks

I have found the problem. Even though I thought that I had reduced the maximum throws for the aileron to prevent mechanical binding the servos were hitting a physical stop somewhere in the wing. There was no noise or indication of this from the servos or control surfaces. I have now reduced the maximum throws to 65% (they were 75% before) and now the sticks go all the way before the servo stops moving. Simple really. Lesson to be learned - just because there is no sound or visible sign of servo binding does not mean it does not exist somewhere you cannot see it!!
