TPL_KUNENA_MESSAGE_CREATED DS-24 sticks too heavy !

Hello Jeti users,
I have bougth the new DS-24, great transmitter. But I think the springs in the control sticks are too heavy. I fly a lot of 3D and I cant get the proper "stick speed" with original springs. I have loosen them as much as possible but its not enought. You loose the feeling in the center and they are still heavy at full stick. Anyone that have had the same problem and found weaker replacements ? Jeti couldn´t help.

Hi,
never heard about this; DS-14/16 and 24 are corresponding the springs the same.
I only heard that some users want to have stronger springs, for that Jeti offers shorter springs.
Perhaps possible to build the springs out and make them "longer" ?
Regards

Thank PW for your answer,
but its not possible to make them longer by stretching them. They are just long enough when adjusting them as "weak" as possible. They are "only" to strong. I have converted from JR/Spektrum so I do not compare with other Jeti transmitters.

I think that's the normal Jeti stick characteristik. If you loose the spring to much, the stick feels nearly free around the center.
If you found a soloution please post ist.
Before Jeti I used a Futaba T18MZ, I found the stick motion much better.
Best regards,
Dirk

Not sure if this will help, but if you open up the backplate and observe the gimbals, you will find that the tension lever arm of the spring can only move to the middle but not the full limit mechanical available (from the cut slot).
I asked in other forum about this and found the reason for this is that there is a spacer on the gimbal axis spring that blocks the movement of this lever arm. The solution which did not require too much effort is to add a similar spacer on this tension lever arm, so as to free it from the axis spacer dimensionally.
TeroS here has pictures to show the problem and his solution.

I noticed that my self and it was easy to fix with a tapered pliers. I have ordered weaker springs from an industrial supplier and I hope they will work (€10 each!).
I will report the outcome of this test.
