Hello,

The Giles has an REX10 with firmware 1.00, the servo is a Hitec HS-5485BB connected to port 6 in RX. Separate BEC.

The Mandarin has an R9 with firmware 3.24, the servo is an E-Max ES09A connected to port 6 in RX. BEC in speed controller.

I have not been able to find any bad cables, neither to the servos nor in the TX (cables to gimbals). Everything works normal after the crash and I cannot recreate the problem. Model memory files has been verified by the Swedish importer as being correct.

According to the logs the only voltage drop that can be seen is from 5.17 to 5.10 V.

Best regards

Hans

Hello Hans,

so the problem is on channel 6.
Is the second servo in the giles is controlled by a mixer or do you use a model with 2 elevators as base configuration?
Anyway if this second servo is working I doubt that the transmitter has a problem. The second servo should have been affected as well.
What about the 2 receivers failsafe settings?
What is your transmitters transmission frequency? 50Hz or 100Hz?
What is the receivers output setting? ?? ms or auto ?

Hello Bodo,

I use a two servo base configuration in the basic properties menu for the Giles (2H1V) and a 2 flaps/2 ailerons/1H1V for the Mandarin.

Failsafe is untouched, i.e "Hold" on all channels.

Tx frequency is 100 Hz and Rx output period is 17 ms.

Regards

Hans

100Hz is too much for the analog EMax servo and might have caused the problem.
Normally I thought all digital servos are fine with 100Hz but as I read the specifications for the HiTec servo you used, the pulse cycle is said to be 20ms wich equals only 50Hz:
servodatabase.com/servo/hitec/hs-5485hb

I would reduce to 50Hz and 20ms.

Hello,
100Hz is the data rate from Tx to Rx.
20ms is the data rate from Rx to Servo.

So only the 20ms is relevant for analog servos.

Hans, I've no more idea.
May be the problem will disappear if you change the receivers settings from 17ms to 20ms.
I doubt that this will fix the problem, but it won't make anything worse.
What I don't get is why the second servo did not have the same problem.
All servo's / channel can be grouped together.
Is there a difference between the two servo's?
Then it might be, that increasing the receivers setting from 17ms to 20ms will fix the problem.
