Hi,

I sent a request to Tero more than one year ago. Since that I try to stick as close to Jeti-apps as possible. He does Jeti-programming in spare time and maybe now has other topics with more priority.

Kind regards, Kai

Kefro,

Yes, refreshing the sensors makes no difference.

Paul,

Glad you found the issue also. Did you notice that with Metric set, the altitude/ distance units are displayed as "ft.", not "m"?

Paul,

Is yours the original version or the new EXBus version?

I recently built one of the RC-Thoughts GPS modules for Jeti, using a GYGPSV3-M8N GPS with a NEO-M8N-001GPS module to a 5V Arduino board. This is the new EX-Bus sensor version of the GPS module.

It powers up and acquires the GPS signal and displays position accurately, however the altitude read-out is incorrect.

It looks like there is a units conversion issue. My location definitely corresponds to the altitude shown, but what is shown has the units reversed.

When set to Metric units, the Altitude reported has the units shown as ft. The value shown agrees with my actual location in ft (663ft).

When set to English units, the Altitude is still reported in ft, but the value is converted to meters (199m), but it is shown as 199ft.

I live right next to Spinks Airport, just south of Fort Worth, TX, with an official reported elevation of 700.4ft.

I sent the data to Tero-S who replied that he didn't think that there was an issue but he would check - that was in January, and I've not had any replies to follow-up questions.

Has anyone else seen any issues with reported altitude with the RC-Thoughts GPS module?

Thanks

Paul

Sorry for the delay. There's been everything from too much day-job to hospital visits. This is after all a hobby and not the top-priority in my life :)
