RFID-board is standard (ebay) and it's 3.3mm thick if I don't remember wrong. (At work now)

Read distance is good, up to 3cm.

Hello Tero,

in my opinion even this is a problem in this small helicopters. The biggest problem is the very limited space under the canopy.
Even without any telemetry devices it is often very tight fit over the battery. When you want to the the battery health, you
need the single cell voltages and you have to place that sensor near the battery to connect to the balancer port. Even the
very small MuLi6 is about 2-3mm thick. See the attached Picture of my Oxy3.
A possible solution would be, to integrate the RFID-Sensor in the battery tray (maybe 3D-printing a new one). This way, the
sensor would not use additional space under the canopy.

best regards

Wolfgang

Hello TeroS since you have a really great idea which you even implemented. You certainly spent a lot of time there. Hope we can use that also. I hope you publish many Lua scripts. Property although still no 24 ger. But I could already two scripts test the pre-flight check and the battery skriepte, simply great respect for your work. Thank you

Hi Tero,

where did you get the small rc522 mini from?
I can't find it on ebay, just the "bulky" MFRC522 board with 60 x 40 dimensions.
I used 22mm diamater on metal tags but they are not working with the large baoird when sticking on a LiPo. After switching to 30mm diameter types it all workles well.

Would be a nice board for my wireless BID package.
I am not sure if the external Revo Bump box will be such a success in Europe (should be implemeted in the charger) since BID is already many years in the market and Revo is almost unknown.
Your solution is great but - no question - but the markets are sometimes think different.

Best regards
