neue Firmware für Assist Empfänger gerade erschienen (V1.23)

Hallo,

laut Jeti kommt die neue 1.23 Software in Kürze. Aktuell arbeiten sie auch noch an der Webpage und irgendwie geht da wohl noch etwas durcheinander....

Der Übersetzungsfehler (siehe anderer Thread) beim Update 6.01 zur DC-24V2 ist Jeti auch übermittelt worden.

Also bitte noch etwas warten.

There has been a lot of discussion over the last years about Jeti Asissts ability to cope with the different frequency generated by our jet turbines. Rumors say that Jet has declared that one should refrain from using Jeti assist in jets and instead use the Cortex gyro. Same rumors says that Jeti is working on a solution for the assist to make it moor tolerant of turbine noise. Does anyone know if there is any substance to any of this?

Probably not possible to solve with current hardware. As soon as turbine sound reaches 3300Hz (exactly half gyro-sampling frequency), the gyro gets confused. This is typical at approx. 100k RPM. Only foam insulating helps

Hi Jannica,

if looking and searching for "problems gyros in turbine Jets" you can found in the internet tons of articles; some users are having problems and others not; and this you can find also with other brands of gyros.

Here a Jeti user using Jeti assist:

If having problems an "isolation box" for the gyro is a good way; no plastic isolation; but a good way is a "balsa wodden or foam isolation box".

Each turbine jet is different; in one probems, in the other not. A friend of mine crashed his jet because of turbine issue; he ordered the exactly same jet with the same equippment and in this jet he must use such an "balsa isolation box arround the gyro".

I´m going to put my Assist in a foam box and try it out that way. Hopefully that will take care of any distortion.

I think, it is the same as with FBL systems for helicopters. The gyro's all have some issues with vibrations. The only possibility is damping the critical frequencies.
