I have been testing firmware 1.12 (kindly supplied by Uwe Neesen) for the REX receivers, and this fixes the telemetry issues I experienced with firmware 1.10 
Today I loaded the official release of 1.12 to the two REX3 receivers in my SB-14 and went flying, just works, steady stream of telemetry data.
My recommendation: upgrade your REX receivers to firmware 1.12.
