Hi together!
So here's my comment/wish: Currently the left side of the AIL function curve defines the down deflection of the ailerons. The right side of the function curve defines the upward deflection. You can effectively set aileron differential with the function curve, which is redundant to the Aileron Differential setting.
My wish is, that the function curve defines the roll steering instead of the differential. This means that for the following function curve, right stick input gives no movement of ailerons, left stick input gives normal aileron deflection up/down for left roll:
This is another concept than currently implemented but would make things much easier.
You could make asymetric mixes to aileron simply with one mixer and one curve. Also, you could create nonlinear aileron deflections for right stick input and linear aileron deflections for left stick input, which is currently not possible as I see it.
Would this be a reasonable Christmas-Wish?

IMHO the mixer works correctly AS IS
the very special use case you have, is that you want the input from the rudder to act differently on left right side ailerons
if you only want that the max 100 rudder deflect a 100% left aileron but not right that could be easiely achieved with ONE single mixer rudder -> aileron by adjusting the max min output for the right ailerons
but a curve is a curve is a curve
and you want 2 curves !!!
one that doe not only deflect the max min output per aileron but also you want du alter in the input
the left side should be linear to rudder stick, the right side shall achive there max min deflections already on half rudder stick
so it is definitaley 2 different curves as shown in the video on this post

IMHO the behaviour of mixer cirves is therefor completely correct as it is implemented right now
once again, you do not look für different aileron deflections max/min, you want the max min deflection alerady to be achieved by different rudder stick postions
hence you need 2 different curves for the rudder input which has primarily nothing todo with the aileron max min outputs

Yes, you are correct, currently you need two curves for asymetric mixes to aileron. Therefore this suggestion, so you only need one for an asymetric mix. Making life easier, this is what this suggestion is about

After some thoughts and inputs from other board-members I would like to withdraw this proposal. While it would probably make life easier for Jeti-Newcomers, it would alienate all existing users which already make use of the current logic of the aileron function curve.
Inspired by another user, there is a much better idea: Jeti already has special mixers, such as Butterfly/Flaps. Why not create another special mixer for knife-edge flight, i.e. a special "Rudder-Mixer" menu in which you can set arbitrary, asymetric, non-linear and what-not mixes from rudder to elevator and roll? That would be a great feature in my opinion!

we already had this discussions several years ago personally with the Jeti developer at Jeti meeting etc.
As you see, it it still that way how it is actually.
Statement Jeti: "Designed as it is".
And as I told:
If you now change this, this is not as easy as you are thinking. Such changing would have lot of influences in other software features. It is very very complex. And there would be the problem with all users who have programmed their modells in the actuell Jeti way.
As told also:
The Jeti art of programming with 2 mixes: this has a lot of advantages !

That's why I withdrew the suggestion and replaced it with another one, not touching the aileron function definition, which should (probably) stay the way it is.
Even if I don't want to bring it up again, just as information, there are many, many people unhappy with the fact Jeti didn't reflect roll-steering with the aileron function but rather defined aileron differential with it, which is multiple-redundant this way. Just look at the rc-groups forum. Even Jeti-famous Harry Cruzon (Jeti actually promotes his videos on youtube) has issues with it:

However, having the suggested separate special rudder-mixer menu where the mixer addresses roll-steering instead of aileron differential, leaving the rest as it is, would make everyone happy I guess
