Hello,

First of all, thanks for the update 2.20!

I have several multi engine models and these were all configured using the "number of engines" in the model setup menu.
Using this setup, one is able to assign Motor1, Motor2,… to separate Receiver outputs, but if you want to introduce a mixer, this will only work for all motors at once. It would good to be able to be free of choice if one wants to use the mixer or other functions with a single motor (e.g. Motor2) or with all available motors.

Reason for that change: During flying one no necessarily needs this kind of feature, but when you landed the plane, you would be able to maneuver the plane by controlling the motors separately.
It would also be possible to "steer" the model in taxi by mixing the ruder with the motors or assigning separate potis to the single motors.
When turing left, the right motor could speed up/ left one would speed down to allow easier driving around corners. For Boats this would allow driving turns without using the ruder.

Of course one can get these functions by using the 1 Engine setup and adding all other needed functions afterwards by putting the other Engines on different "Servos" - but i think that then the multi Engine Setup function is useless. In addition the motor safe switch will also work on all assigned motors and no only on Motor 1 => will increase safety.

Another option that I would like to see is to turn off the click sound of the "menu wheel". One can disable all beep sounds in the sound options, but then all alarms, etc. are disabled, too.

I also noticed that the DS-16 turning-potis have a dead area in the min and max end - calibration does not help here. Is there a way to work around that?!

Jeti, it would great if you could implement these changes with the next update.

Best regards and Thanks
Thomas

That is wrong, you only need to set the S1 option to "0%" in the mixer menu and only the second engine is mixed.
If you ask in the forum, you can get the motor mixer for a "Tante JU-52" model with three engines.
The complete model is from peter modelcity. If you don´t believe me , ask him.
Look here 3-engine-mixer

Thanks Harald for clarifying this - my change wish is obsolete now. Tried it and it works fine.
Maybe one should change the indication from "S" to "Motor" - I thought that this would have an impact on a switch. The part in the manual about this point is also quite small; there S stands for "Steering function" or "Servo". I think i did not recognize that in combination with the motor...

Regards
Thomas

Hello Thomas,

You can switch on or off the click sound with a logical switch. Sample P7 for loundness controll with a two way switch. The two way switch make on or off .
On each model you must define the preflight Position of the 2-way-switch and the sound is automatically activated.
But in each model you need this Logical switch (L16).
