sorry was a bit off topic what I wrote in German.. but we I think it is not needed to heat up the housing of the DS16 in total. the coldest part is the backcover out of aluminum. If this will be replacable by a carbon one it will help a lot.

just wear gloves. You can cut the fingertips if needed.
works great, cost no battery, have no effect on the signal...

but keep in mind: life is not made for winter temperatures.
the one in the tx is not the big risk... thing about the one on rx side.

Temp range of the Rx ends at -10 deg. according to the spec.
Lets say you fly at 300m, the limit is reached already at-7 deg ground temp.
So a pair of gloves will have a better price/performance than an expensive electrical heating system :)

Hi,

this is my preparation for the cold days:

I don't need a heating module since this means another battery to handle.
This solution already worked with my mc24 at about -11 to -12°C outside temperature.
