Hello

I wish a sensor to be connected to my DS16 to measure wind meters on the slope. Something like Vaavuud but simple and small......using Jeti technology inside.......

Ciao

Hello Miko,

good idea, and I think the hardware as well as the software would be easy to realize.
The HW could be done with this concept: DIY Digital-Anemometer

This "bicycle speed impulse" could then easily be sampled e.g. by an OpenXSensor (based on Arduino) or every other Jetisensor with adapted Firmware (e.g. MUI, MVario, myVario). The sensor connects to a RSAT then, which is linked to the DS/DC transmitter...

But in which mode of operation would you bind this "wind sensor"?
It will appear as a separate model on your DS and could not be bound in parallel to your R/C model, as long as you don't sacrifice the dual HF between Transmitter and R/C model... - Any idea?

Just build it up and test! I am interested in the result ;-)

Kind regards,
Henning

I'm not able to develop the system, but I thought something like in the photo attached ( pitot tube connected to DS-DC)
It's a too simple idea, I know.
I tested MSpeed with my car: pitot fixed out and DS+ RX inside. ( very bad measure compared with car tachimeter!!!)

Air flux inside the pitot measure the speed of the plane; if pitot it's fixed must measure also the wind speed?
Or a solution not attached TX but linked with DS DC via bluethoot...and with a switch you can see telemetry of this
"ground sensor".

My 3D it's a wish but unfortunately I've no technical capacities to move on.

This is a pretty good Idea !
Not really "need to have" but very nice.

I imagine something like Vaavud ( see photo) connected to DS-.DC via cable or via bluetooth.
If the sensor is running connected to a smartphone must also measure connected to Duplex.....
