TPL_KUNENA_MESSAGE_CREATED MSW on DC/DS24
06 Dec 2019 07:09
Hi,
I'm trying to find the use of the new DUPLEX 2.4EX MSW expansion module for DC/DS transmitters on a DC or DS 24.
According to the information I have, the MSW can be used on a 24 series radio, but I fail to imagine both how to put more switches on my DC-24 (and where!) and how these switches would show up on the system.
any suggestion?
thanks,

How to place new switches is a good questian! Maybe on the back? As far as I remember, the additional switches will not occur in the menu like "Sx..." - please correct me if I am wrong.

yes, I was also thinking on the back, but, as far as I know, the back switches, DS-24 style, are not available as spares.
and I'm also wandering how and if they appear on the system, configuration wise.

AFAIK: if you use the sticks from RC-Technik (2 functions for each stick) you need the MSW as the DC-24 doesn't support additional 4 functions (only 2).
I guess this limitation is (one of) the reasons Jeti released this board.
As you can seen in the installation manual, this board uses the PPM-out, so the configuration of the used functions is not exactly the same as for the other built-in switches.
imho if you would like to add some non-Stick functions/switches, you need to drill a hole in your transmitter :woohoo:

The DC-24 supports two functions per stick without any MSW board.
I have these two stocks mounted on my DC-24 (factory installed) and there is no MSW board inside.
www.jetimodel.com/en/katalog/Transmitter...DC-16-Potentiometer/
www.jetimodel.com/en/katalog/Transmitter...6-3-position-switch/
and yes, the MSW board uses the PPM access, so I presume the configuration could be done thru the Teacher/Pupil menu,
and yes, I presume that some drilling is needed to install new switches, and I would not dare to drill the chassis, but if needed I could drill the backplate.
Now, my point is: The product description says that is compatible with the 24 series, so I presume that Jeti has some kind of plan for this board, and I would like to know what that plan is.

I mean:
1 function per stick (like the product mentioned and you and I use)
2 functions per stick (like the sticks from RCTechnik: 1 on the top and 1 in the middle of the stick)
And as the DC-24 only supports 2 extensions (see the Jeti-Sticks) you need the extension board for more
Sorry, but for this point I'm not sure someone other than Jeti can answer the question... :side:abief wrote: Now, my point is: The product description says that is compatible with the 24 series, so I presume that Jeti has some kind of plan for this board, and I would like to know what that plan is.
