Hey Team,

Matthias

Also ich kurz was ich probiert hatte.

I removed it from my DC24 II and it's attached to the aluminum frame with double-sided tape.

@ crusader , sehr sehr geil!

@ Black_bird70   OMG, you’re as crazy as I am!
I’ve already anodized all the parts in aluminum color — including the back. The only thing missing now is the front!  I also installed the DS-16 II antenna, and it already looks amazing. And made me a custom case to!

If I understand you correctly, the front plate is only glued and you carefully removed it using heat?

Isn’t there a risk of the plate bending?  And did you have to remove all the switches and knobs beforehand?

@Black_bird70 Your teardown guide is great — but how exactly did you remove the front plate?

I’d like to take it off, de-anodize it, then re-anodize it in natural aluminum, have it laser-engraved, and reinstall it afterwards.
