TPL_KUNENA_MESSAGE_CREATED Can a clone be added in Double Path Mode
26 Aug 2017 16:21
Hi all, new here so please bear with me. I have DS14 with dual Tx modules flying a hexacopter. I have an R9EX in the aircraft and REX3 on my camera gimbal, independent of each other but both controlled from the DS14. My question is can I add an Rsat2 to the R9EX as a clone in this configuration to add receiver redundancy in the aircraft or can that not be done in this mode.
Thanks
Thanks

TPL_KUNENA_MESSAGE_REPLIED_NEW Can a clone be added in Double Path Mode

Well update, it seems to be working. Both main receivers showing full signal in Double Path Mode - Morse code alarm set to signal loss on the PPM input on one of the receivers and when the clone is unplugged from this it triggers. Next test will be to try and isolate the main receiver from the Tx to see if the clone provides good signal.

Hello?
This is only possible with PWM to the FC.Not with S-bus ,UDI,PPM,or you take a EnLink adapter

TPL_KUNENA_MESSAGE_REPLIED_NEW Can a clone be added in Double Path Mode

Hello, thanks for the reply. i am using PWM output, so maybe that's why it is working. If I use the Enlink adapter I could connect to the two receivers in the aircraft to the FC, but this would not allow to connect to the third receiver on the gimbal as I understand it? I currently am connected to receiver on the gimbal, receiver in the aircraft and as well Rsat2 clone in the aircraft.

For the Gimbel you take one clone. For the FC and Enlink you can take two receivers in double path and S-Bus/PPM (one Kabel with all chanels) to the FC .
Or you take PWM ,one! kabel for every! chanel.....The most FC can´t do it.They need S-Bus PPM or i-bus.

I don't think the receiver on the gimbal will work as a clone, as it needs to be configured differently to the main receiver and also I do not have a cable link between this receiver and another, the gimbal is independent of the aircraft.
It does seem to be working at the moment, after posting the initial question. Double Path to gimbal receiver (output PPM) and aircraft receiver (output PMW) and aircraft receiver has clone Rsat2 (PPM to R9).
