TPL_KUNENA_MESSAGE_CREATED Rate control mix support

Hi All,
I have been trying to recreate on my DS16 a feature available on my Futaba 9Z which is very useful for F3A. In Futaba speak this is a "rate control mix", but in essence it is controlling the RATE of one channel using the POSITION of another. Note this is not a switched change in rate, it is a continuous change in rate based on a curve derived from another proportional channel.
There are two uses of this that I have used:
: On a glider, to progressively alter the elevator rate as the wing camber is changed
: On an F3A model, to progressively reduce the rudder rate as the throttle is opened
Is there a way of doing this? If not, what chance of a new feature?
Cheers!

Hi,
yes, this is possible with logical switches.
We are using it for F3A snap rolls; we are not using a Dual Rate switch for different rates of rudder, elevator, aileron; but we are doing it with your idea.
Only if full rudder, full elevator and full aileron we have than different rates of rudder etc. in all 4 snap rolls version (left/righ and up and down).
We set in menu logical switches the settings and created 4 flight modes for the 4 snap version.
Look here for snap rolls

Thanks for the prompt reply.
You are missing the point however. I do not want to switch rates in discrete steps based on discrete positions of a proportional control. I want the rate to change continuously as the proportional controlling channel is moved.
On the 9Z, you can set-up a 7 point curve to do this. In the throttle to rudder example, the curve may look like this
Throttle position Rudder Rate
0% 100%
16% 50%
33% 40%
50% 35%
66% 33%
83% 33%
100% 33%
In the intermediate throttle positions, the rudder rate is interpolated accordingly, so if the throttle is at 8% the rudder rate would be 75%.
Sorry - it is really hard to explain

Hi,
sorry for my missunderstanding.
But can you this not with a curve mixture Throttel-rudder with the DC-16 ?
regards

Hey PW,
A curve mix would move the rudder as the throttle stick is moved. I want to change the rudder rate as the throttle stick is moved.
Unless I a missing a configuration option for the mixes?

Hi,
ok,, you want have different fix rudder rate in relation to throttle stick position.
Should work with 7 different logical switches
L 1 = throttle to rudder , then pressing PROP and than you can set first rudder rate and Throttle stick point
L 2 = throttle to rudder, then pressing PROP and you can set second rudder rate and second throttle stick point
and so on
Regards
