Setting throttle range with Jetibox Optospin99 ecs

Hi there, Just purchased the optospin 99ECS and the jetibox for my H9 Valiant elctric power. I have aquestion to set the throttle range do you have to do this withouth the jeti box first ie full throttle turn on radio and ECS and wait for the 4 bleeps ??? or am I missing somthing and you can do it with the jeti box plugged in ???
