Has anybody got setVario function to work?

I run this example
github.com/JETImodel/Lua-Apps/blob/c6190...e/Demos/34_vario.lua
or my own apps with setVario, and I enable the vario with LUA as the input.
I can see the vario value bar changing based on the example or my apps, however, i get no sound.
When i map the vario to a EX sensor i get sound.

I have the same issue.
Does anybody know if this function is working. And if it is working how to use it?

I have played with it. Seems it only makes sounds when a receiver is connected. Is that the issue?
