TPL_KUNENA_MESSAGE_CREATED Receiver menue - pairing

Hi,

the point pairing in the receiver menue is in its current state a security problem since the pairing is activated with only one short press on the up - button.

This can easily hapen if someone steps through the menue to read the telemetry data. If it hapens and another Transmitter is just switched on this transmitter will be bound. Imagine there is a powerfull electric motor in the model and the new transmitter uses a different layout and the motor will be set to full throttle ...

I propose to make this point more secure with an additional question and only start the pairing when the left and right button is pressed at the same time.

regards

TPL_KUNENA_MESSAGE_REPLIED_NEW Receiver menue - pairing

Hi,

I support this as we have learned from rc-network.de ( www.rc-network.de/forum/showthread.php/3...f%C3%A4nger-gebunden !!) that there might be a problem in the binding process in addition to this security risk. There are two quite clear cases where unwanted binding has happened to already bound receiver when another transmitter - receiver pairing has been performed.

Also if this is already solved by RX/TX SW upgrade we customers need to get a note on that.

Hi,

I was referring to possible correction to this reported binding problem, not to the security risk you were incidating. Sorry for hijacking your topic with slightly other topic.

TPL_KUNENA_MESSAGE_REPLIED_NEW Receiver menue - pairing

Hi,

first Issue reported in RCN was due to a user mistake by pressing the up - button in the pairing menue as he wanted to leave the menue at all. No issue for Jeti.

Second Issue is what so ever since it is not a normal behavier that anyone of us can try. It may be a defective Receiver, a bad power supply for the receiver or something that comes from the turbine and their installation. A misbehaving sensor or all these points together or something completly different.

If they can prove that it was the fault of the system they got a chance to get money from the insurance - or Jeti. And it was a jet that crashed - something expencive ...

Hi,

for the first issue, sorry again, I didn't read the thread carefully enough - it seems it was a "Klar Bedienungsfehler".

Second case is of course more speculative.

But anyway would be good to create a double security check for enabling the pairing. I've got now a DC-16 in addition to Mc-24 with TU2, with DC-16 this is not so probable to get wrong.
