In this particular Setup it is possible.

Because the R5L is in a glider Dolly for steering and the Rex12 is in the glider.

I had contact with Jeti. They have seen my video. They sayed I did the procedure correctly. They have tried it with there own equipment and it seems to work. They suggest to send everything back my TX and RX. But I fly already 2 years with my DS24 and use clone system at least in 2 jets already instead of dual path. I can’t imagine my TX is faulty.

The TX is not the problem.

Try what I told you - reset the R5 to factory default. Bind it. set it to clone. Leave the Jetibox menue menue navigating to the top level.
Switch of this RX. Bind normal RX. Switch everything off.
Start TX. Switch on both RX.
If this still doesn't work - buy another RX to replace the R5.

I justed checked with a REX3 - if you don't leave the Menue with the up-Button the clone Mode is not stored.

I did more tests today.
1, First was R5L reset to factory default, did procedure again, not working.
2, Tried another R5L to clone to a REX12Assist, not working
3, Tried one of the R5L to clone to another Assist (REX7A), not working.
4, Tried to clone a R5L to a NORMAL REX7 receiver, it worked!. Both receivers are working at the same time, ref video.
5, Tried to clone a NORMAL REX7 to a REX12ASSIST. It worked! Both receivers working at the same time, ref video.

My conclusion is. It is NOT possible to clone a R5L (probably any R receivers) to a ASSIST receiver and working at the same time. Switch off the assist RX while the R5L (clone) is on, the clone takes over.
You can clone a R5L (or any "Old" R receivers) to a NORMAL REX though.
You can clone a NORMAL REX receiver to a REX Assist receiver.
