Knut

unfortunately no news so far when the new FW will be released
only thing I can confirm is that horizont mode works perfect with 1.19b
tested with meanwhile 4 motormodels from small EPO trainer to big 3m wilga
nomatter which position the airplane has when siwthicg to horizont it goes whoop and plane is leveled in a neutral position flying straight
rgds and stay healthy

Hi Guido, I haven't heard anything on new FW to fix this problem. Do you believe Jeti is working on it? I installed an iGyro SRS and the plane is flying great. It seems to me it would be easy for Jeti to achieve similar performance. In the mean time is there any way I can get 1.19b?
Best Regards and you guys stay healthy too.
Jim

sorry jim for the late reply
holiday season, corona, job, family ... too much at the moment
unfortunately I have no news from jeti rgdng when the new assit FW will be released.
the only thing I can say, is that ir worked in many tests in autumn with 1.19b I received from jeti.
but I am instructed by jeti not to share this, and I hope you understand that I don't want to muck things about with them, sorry
be negative !!! (never imagined before I would wish this to anbody)

Thanks for the feedback Guido. I understand your position regarding sharing 1.19b and I would do the same if I were in your position.
I believe I have read your reports regarding your tests of the new FW but I don't believe I ever saw where you said it cured the basic problem of pitching down under acceleration. Can you elaborate on your test results? As you can tell I am very interested in getting the Assist to operate as advertised.
I did test negative for the virus back in August and was able to go ahead with a hernia operation. I've been pretty careful ever since and so far so good. However, I sure don't like the rules requiring social distancing but being an old guy I must be very careful.
Regards, Jim

I have tested the negative pitch on accelleration with different models, from small foamies to large towing models.
all on electric setup and no tests on gliders. I do fly only electric and no assist in gliders
but I can assure you that that the negative pitch - which by the way I could only reproduce in horizont mode - is completely gone. no matter what postion the plane has in the sky. when switching to horizont mode, it turns into a neutral flying position and flys straight forward over the complete throttle range - ok the speed of turning into neutral depends of cause on the settings one made and of cause on the amount of speed/throttle. the higher the speed of cause it turns faster.
so IMHO that bug is gone with 1.19b

TPL_KUNENA_MESSAGE_REPLIED_NEW ungewöhnliches Verhalten des Assist im Kreiselmode beim Gasgeben

Hello i found this thread useful because i'm experiencing the pitch down behaviour. I'm using a Rex7A with factory firmware 1.13. I'm using it on a gas plane and i'm using the 3 Assist mode like this 1- OFF and 2-3 Damping. I'm not using hold or other modes.
Another thing i saw is that if Intelligent Assist is ON on RX Fail safe setup, if for test Fails safe is triggered the elevator channel, after few seconds, slowly starts to move to full travel in one direction (in my case down), no matter if fail safe is setup in hold or set position or channel off.
I hope the new firmware will solve. Thanks for the info.
